Domotex Recognizes Several Products with Awards

Hannover, Germany, January 18, 2023--This year's Domotex hosted the 18th installment of the Carpet Design Awards and the bestowment of the Green Collection Award.

Selected by a jury of experts, the Carpet Design Awards celebrate contemporary carpet design and have been reflecting innovations and trends in the industry for more than 15 years. This year included the newly introduced Sustainability Award.

The winners are:

Best Studio Artist Design: Omaggio a Maria Lai, from Italian company Joias

Best Modern Design Superior: AAD...Enclosure of Life, from Indian firm Saraswati Global

Best Modern Design Deluxe: Green Agate, from Belgium's Ashtari Carpets

Best Transitional Design: Talisman Hand-knotted, by the UK's Wendy Morrison Design

Best Flatweave Design: Tulu, from Manglam Arts in India

Best Collection: Trails, by Sebastian Herkner of M2Rugs in Germany

Best Interior: Emily Forgot, a modular offering from Floor_Story in London

Sustainability Award: Taufa, from India's Jaipur Rugs

Additionally, the European Carpet Importers Association announced the winner of the EUCA Award--known as the Carpet Oscar. Bahram Tahbaz, founder of Bahram Tahbaz Oriental Carpet Import, accepted the award for his lifetime achievements.

The Green Collection Award furthers Domotex's growing focus on sustainability. Go4Cork Plus underlayment, supplied by Amorim Cork Composites, was named the winner.
