Dixie Group to Produce LVT in Alabama

Dalton, GA, August 18, 2022-The Dixie Group will convert its Atmore, Alabama plant into an LVT-SPC manufacturing facility.

The effort is a joint venture (JV) with a top five global SPC producer.

The Alabama facility was formerly focused on commercial carpet production. Dixie sold its commercial business to Mannington in June 2021.

In addition to making the product, the Dixie Group will continue to source LVT from its domestic and foreign suppliers.

The operation is expected to launch in Q2 2023. According to an 8K flling earlier this week, the firm's initial investment in this JV is $6 million.

LVT now accounts for 15% to 20% of Dixie's annual revenue.
