DHA Holds Annual Meeting, Elects New Board Members

Sterling, VA, May 22, 2026- The Decorative Hardwoods Association (DHA) 2026 spring conference and 105th annual meeting was held in Asheville, North Carolina, May 12 to 14, at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Asheville Downtown. In addition, the organization announced new board leadership.

Attendees of the meeting toured Columbia Forest Products’ Old Fort plant and the Biltmore Estate, widely viewed as the birthplace of modern forestry.

Experts led presentations and discussions on trade policy and tariffs, economic trends and predictions, the EU Deforestation Regulation, and trade policy and market conditions for cabinets and speakers included Tara Bayke, senior economist at ITR Economics; Tim Brightbill, attorney and partner at Wiley; and Betsy Natz, CEO, Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association.

The DHA has elected new board leadership, including Vijay Reddy as chairman (Danzer), Ted Downs as vice chair (States Industries); division vice presidents Daniel Pacheco (Commonwealth Plywood), John Varner (Moehring Group), and Paul Davis (Columbia Forest Products); and at-large board members Reid Freeman (Freeman Veneers), Matt Smith (Manthei Wood Products), and Ben Miller (Miller Veneer).
