New York, NY, February 18, 2020-The coronavirus’s impact on business is the subject of an article in theWall Street Journal, which reports that, “Apple became the first major U.S. company to say it won’t meet its revenue projections for the current quarter due to the outbreak, which it said had limited iPhone production and curtailed demand for its products in China. Volkswagen said it would postpone production restarts at some of its Chinese plants, while the organizers of China’s biggest car show said the event wouldn't go ahead in April.”
While no U.S. flooring manufacturers have yet made such statements, it is notable that almost 50% of all flooring sold in the U.S. is imported, and 50% of that comes from China, according to Market Insights.
