Consumer Sentiment Down in September

Ann Arbor, MI, Sept. 27, 2013 — A measure of consumer sentiment fell to a final September reading of 77.5 from 82.1 in August, according to the University of Michigan/Thomson Reuters consumer-sentiment index.

Economists had expected a final September level of 78.

It was the lowest reading since April.
