Consolidated Carpet Moves Operations to New Jersey
New York, NY, June 24, 2008— After almost 30 years of being based in Brooklyn, Consolidated Carpet has moved its operations to a newly purchased 80,000 square foot corporate operations center and sales office in Carlstadt, N.J., which replaces its Brooklyn facility. Company headquarters will remain on 25th Street in Manhattan.
The facility is designed as a total showroom. Every part of the exposed floor will showcase a product furnished and installed by Consolidated, including a warehouse that will feature a number of industrial flooring systems, a new market for Consolidated.
The company will also expand its presence in the New Jersey market
“The move to New Jersey presents a number of significant opportunities, not only to grow, but also to improve our efficiencies and provide an unparalleled level of service to our clients,” said David Meberg, president of Consolidated.
In the past two years, Consolidated has focused on broadening its market breadth by exploring market segments outside of its core commercial carpet background. It has expanded its capabilities in the hard goods market and in self-leveling and poured surface finishes. For example, its work at Citi Field, new home of the New York Mets, includes over 25 different finishes including carpet, rubber, linoleum, raised flooring, sport surfaces and finished concrete.
