Congoleum Adds “Rapolano” to DuraCeramic Line

Mercerville, NJ, August 21, 2006--Congoleum’s new engineered ceramic line, DuraCeramic, continues to grow with the addition of a new elegant stone design called “Rapolano” in five new color fashions, each projecting the look of museum-quality Italian craftsmanship. Available in the nominal 16-inch square DuraCeramic format, Rapolano’s new textural, refined stylings are Taffeta White, Graphite Pearl, Shoreline Mist, LeMans Sunset and Desert Chimney. Rapolano brings to 11 the number of collections in the DuraCeramic line. Altogether, Sierra Slate, Heirloom, Earthpath, Pacific Marble, Cambridge Tile, Roman Elegance, Mercer Tile, Dreamscape, Sandalstone, Medallion and now Rapolano offer a total of 53 color fashion variations. Launched in 2003, DuraCeramic combines limestone with space-age, cross-linked composite materials for high performance, then creates natural stylings consumers want in slate, marble, porcelain and other stone looks. In developing DuraCeramic, Congoleum created a new category called engineered ceramic for floors and walls with a host of features and benefits, including the fact that DuraCeramic has been proven to be warmer to the touch than traditional ceramic, quiet and comfortable underfoot, less likely to shatter fragile items when dropped, and fast to install -- about half the time of conventional ceramic or porcelain tile. As with all DuraCeramic products, Rapolano is installed using DuraSet Adhesive and Congoleum’s DuraCeramic Premixed Acrylic Grout in 16 designer colors. (Congoleum offers suggestions for grout colors to complement each DuraCeramic fashion.)
