Compensation Costs Rose 1.0% in Q4 2022

Washington, DC, January 31, 2023-Compensation costs for civilian workers increased 1.0%, seasonally adjusted, for the three-month period ending in December 2022, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported. 

Wages and salaries increased 1.0%, and benefit costs increased 0.8% from September 2022.
