Kaisersesch, Germany, July 24, 2023-The Classen Group has formed a Classen America corporate division, which will be headed by Dr. Moritz Menier as CEO.

Menier joined Classen in January after working for BMK Group and BMK Americas for 9 years. BMK produces melimine coated papers and films which are used in the production of decorative panels and circuit boards. He is based in Lexington, North Carolina.

Derek Welbourn has expanded his responsibility as SVP of sales for Classen America and will continue his role as CEO of the Inhaus division. Inhaus is the exclusive distribution network for Classen products in North and South America.

Matt Oliver has been promoted to sales director for Classen America.

“Over the years, our market expansion and the close partnerships that we have developed with our customer base has led us to further focus on America,” says Menier.

Supporting the investments and strategy is Celine Quervel, head of marketing and part of the Classen ownership group. She notes further strategic investments, particularly around Classen’s PVC-free wall and floor coverings.

Classen operates the largest laminate flooring factory in the world. Located in Baruth, Germany, the facility produces 1 billion square feet per year. Classen is a family owned company.
