Ceramic and LVT Imports Declined in April 2026

Charlotte, NC, June 16, 2026—Ceramic and LVT imports continued their decline in April, reports Truist.

“Ceramic imports continued their streak of declines seeing units down 20% and dollars down 14%. India has seen its decline steepen with units and dollars down 45% while Mexico returned to growth this month. Italy experienced more modest declines with units down 6% and dollars down 7%.

“LVT imports for the month were down 16% in units and 24% in dollars as flooring continues to struggle along with housing turnover. Each of our focus countries experienced declines with China remaining a notable story with units down about 90% YTD. Interestingly, the rest of world has seen its share of imports increase dramatically with units now up more than double YTD.”
