CCA Winter ConneXtion Conference Begins Today in Dallas

Dallas, TX, January 15, 2024-CCA’s winter ConneXtion conference starts today, welcoming member Carpet One, Flooring America/Canada, The Floor Trader and International Design Guild retailers to the Gaylord Texan Resort near Dallas. Nearly 1,200 members are in attendence.

Running January 15 to 17, the conference features a variety of educational offerings, 44 in total, some of which are targeted at helping dealers effectively utilize CCA’s 2.0 selling system to set themselves apart. Announced at the 2022 summer convention, the color-coordinated showroom display system is still being integrated in the field.

A highlight of the seminar agenda is Barbara Corcoran of “Shark Tank,” who will deliver the keynote address, which kicks off day two of the event. Corcoran has invested in over 100 businesses on "Shark Tank" and is also the author of "Shark Tales: How I Turned $1,000 into a Billion Dollar Business!" and host of business Patreon channel "Barbara in Your Pocket."

"Members will notice that this convention is built around initiatives to impact their businesses immediately," said Carpet One president John Gilbert. “We're focusing heavily on ways to drive more traffic through accelerating smart marketing initiatives, a full day of hands-on education sessions, incorporating more peer-led panels, and expanding our member-to-member networking for invaluable connections with other owners.”

A pre-event kickoff was held last night, welcoming the Women of CCA. Though many were challenged with travel delays due to weather, the seated dinner saw a good turnout, and the atmosphere was lively. The offsite event featured speaker Pam Minick, a celebrated and awarded professional rodeo champion and one of the first female announcers in the sport.

The 2024 conneXtion concludes with a dinner and dancing event with funk, R&B and soul legends Kool & The Gang on Wednesday.
