Carpet One Continues Commitment To Children’s Lite

Manchester, NH, Nov. 21–Encouraging a child to read can help unlock an exciting world just waiting to be discovered inside the pages of a book.

This holiday season, Carpet One and its members reaffirm their dedication to supporting children’s literacy through the company’s annual partnership with the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, the funding and support arm of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Foundation.
Carpet One will join with its members to donate thousands of new books
helping children in need get on the path to a lifetime love of reading.

Carpet One members continue to demonstrate an ongoing commitment to their
local communities and will be donating Disney books to children across the
country this holiday season.

Carpet One’s support of children’s literacy
programs have helped bring more than 310,000 books to deserving children.
Donated books include stories geared to capture the attention and excite
the imagination of children of all ages, from babies and preschoolers to
early readers and juniors.

In addition, Carpet One is making a corporate monetary donation to Toys for Tots to help in their efforts to bring the
holiday spirit to needy youngsters.

“Promoting the joy of reading through our partnership with the Marine Toys
for Tots Foundation is one way we can demonstrate our dedication to
helping enrich lives in our local communities,” said Dean Marcarelli,
co-COO of Carpet One. “Children’s literacy is an issue that continues to
affect all of our communities. By bringing a new book to a child in need, we can help open a doorway that sparks creativity, encourages learning and gives every child an opportunity to discover the joys of reading.”

The United States Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Foundation has been a
holiday tradition in America for more than 50 years. Last year, the U.S.
Marine Corps was able to distribute nearly 13 million toys to more than 6
million of our nation’s children.
