Capital Carpet & Flooring Acquires Merrimac Tile and Stone

Wilmington, MA, November 6, 2019-Capital Carpet & Flooring, a 28 year-old company, has purchased Merrimac Tile and Stone Company of Hampton, New Hampshire, a 73 year-old tile, stone and floorcovering company. Both companies are Starnet members.

Capital will be setting up a new company called Merrimac Tile & Flooring, which will be a branch of Capital Carpet operating in southern New Hampshire.

The new operation will focus on growing and servicing its current customer base, along with providing other specialty services such as granite and marble countertop fabrication and installations, which will, in turn, give Capital Carpet the ability to offer these specialties to its customers. In addition, Merrimac will now be able to offer epoxy flooring (which Capital performs) to its customers.

Tom Indoccio, former owner of Merrimac Tile and Stone, will stay with the organization, and, for the time, Capital has retained all of Merrimac’s employees.
