Buffett Says Abel Will Now Make Investment Decisions at Berkshire Hathaway

Omaha, NE, May 6, 2024-Berkshire Hathaway held its annual shareholder meeting May 4.

During the meeting, CEO Warren Buffett, 93, revealed that his successor Greg Abel would now be making investment decisions.

Buffett also reflected on the death of his longtime partner Charlie Munger in November 2023 and, of his own mortality, joked, “I know a little about actuarial tables.”

Shaw Industries and Nebraska Furniture Mart are both owned by Berkshire Hathaway with Able serving as the Berkshire Hathaway liaison to Shaw.
