Brazil’s Ceramic Exports Expected to Rise

Brasilia, Brazil, May 6--The Brazilian association of the ceramic makers towards coating Anfacer (Associacao Nacional dos Fabricantes de Ceramica para Revestimento) expects a 20% increase in exports to US$300 million this year. The sector exports to 120 countries and ranks 4th in the global production market and 3rd among the global exporters. Brazil produced more than 500 million m2 last year, 100 million m2 of which were shipped or 20%, registering US$250.7 million income. According to Anfacer, the US imports 200 million m2 per year and, along with Canada and Mexico, it imports 50% of the total shipped last year.
