Bishop Distributing Acquired by Family Team

Grand Rapids, MI, December 3, 2025-Bishop Distributing has announced its acquisition by a local three-generation family team: Jim Engen, Mark Wierenga, and Zach Brinkert. 

Founded in 1959, Bishop Distributing has grown into a full-line floor-covering distributor serving Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky. The new owners look forward to building upon Bishop’s long tradition of local, family ownership established more than 60 years ago. The transition to new ownership marks the next chapter in Bishop’s continued commitment to supporting its retail partners with quality products and dedicated service.
