Berkshire Hathaway Revenues Up 12% in Q3, Earnings Down

Omaha, NE, November 9, 2021- Berkshire Hathaway, owner of Shaw Industries and Nebraska Furniture Mart, revenues increased 12% year over year to $70.6 billion from Q3 2020’s $63 billion, attributable to higher revenues from Insurance and Other operations as well as Railroad, Utilities and Energy.

The company reported Q3 2021 net earnings of $10.6 billion, compared to earnings of $30.1 billion in Q3 2020.

Total revenues for its Manufacturing, Service and Retailing segments increased 12.5% year over year to $38.8 billion.

The company bought back shares worth $20.2 billion in the first nine months of 2021.
