Architecture Billings Declined Slightly to 45.5 in February
New York, NY, March 19, 2025--The February Architecture Billings Index (ABI) saw a reading of 45.5, down from the prior month’s 45.6, according to the American Institute of Architects' (AIA).
Project inquiries were down at 47.8 versus 51.4 in the prior month.
Readings above 50 indicating expansion and below indicating contraction.
Results were mixed across the sectors, (which are calculated on a three-month moving average) with an increase for multi-family residential at 46.1 from 45.0 last month, commercial/industrial increasing to 46.9 from 43.1, mixed practice declining to 42.1 versus 44.3 last month, and institutional down to 46.4 versus 47.4 in the prior month.
