American Securities Acquires Meridian Adhesives Group

New York, NY, September 9, 2022-American Securities and Arsenal Capital Partners announced that an affiliate of American Securities has acquired Meridian Adhesives Group, in partnership with the management team and funds affiliated with Arsenal.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Meridian is a producer of advanced adhesives for electronics, infrastructure, and industrial end markets, including flooring. The company sells a broad portfolio of chemistries and focuses on niche applications that require custom solutions and complex formulations. Meridian operates 25 facilities and serves over 5,000 customers in North America, Asia Pacific, and Europe. The Company is headquartered in Houston, Texas and employs approximately 560 people globally.

Meridian has grown through acquisitions in recent years. In 2018, W.F. Taylor was acquired by Meridian Adhesives Group (from Dominus Capital) as the flagship company in the Meridian Flooring Division. The division is headed by Paul Murfin. 

In 2019, it acquired Expoxies Etc., its sixth acquisition in two years. It 2020, it acquired E-Chem, and in 2021, it acquired American Sealants.
