Alpek to Shutter North Carolina Facility

Fayetteville, NC, June 6, 2025-Alpek will shutter its Fayetteville, North Carolina plant by July 31.

The site, acquired by Alpek in 2001, has an installed capacity of 170,000 tons of PET resin and approximately 35,000 tons of rPET flake production.

Shaw and DAK Americas had a long-standing partnership at this facility with their Clear Path Recycling program.

The Fayetteville plant started out as Rohm and Hass and changed ownership over the years.
