AHF to Exit Sheet Vinyl Production in Lancaster

Mountville, PA, May 6, 2026-AHF Products, citing a continued shift in the flooring market toward luxury vinyl tile (LVT), will cease to operate its residential sheet vinyl line at its Lancaster, Pennsylvania manufacturing facility on June 28.

“The Lancaster facility will remain open and continue to play a central role in our U.S. manufacturing strategy,” said CEO Brent Emore. “We will shift our focus to expanding domestic LVT production capabilities to further support innovation and the growing needs of our customers and channel partners."

“American-based manufacturing remains a core priority and competitive advantage. This move reflects broader industry changes, with demand continuing to shift toward LVT and rigid core products in both residential and commercial markets,” Emore added. “AHF Products is among the largest domestic producers of LVT, with nearly all of our LVT manufactured here in the United States.”

The decision to cease residential sheet vinyl operations in Lancaster follows several years of declining utilization on the residential sheet vinyl line, which in recent years was limited to one 12-hour shift three to four days per week. After evaluating multiple alternatives, the company determined that continuing residential sheet vinyl production is not economically sustainable.

“This is a difficult decision because of the people involved,” said Emore. “We are deeply grateful for the dedication of the employees who have supported this operation over the years. Their contributions have been an important part of our history and success.” AHF Products will work to support impacted employees across production, maintenance, warehouse, and the salaried staff.

No disruption to LVT supply or customer service is expected during the transition. AHF Products is actively managing inventory to ensure continuity of supply for residential sheet vinyl customers during the transition period.

Production at Lancaster will continue for an extensive range of Armstrong Flooring LVT commercial collections, including the new Conjunction 4.5mm LVT, Kaleido Color Lab semi-custom LVT, Natural Creations, Mixtera, Tandem, Biome, Coalesce, Duo, Exchange, Terra, Theorem, Parallel USA 12 and 20, and Unify quick ship. Armstrong Flooring American Charm, also produced in Lancaster, is a residential LVT with Diamond 10 Technology.
