StonePeak Intro New Product Line at Exclusive Dist

Chicago, IL, October 6, 2005--StonePeak Ceramics, Inc., an American tile company that manufactures and markets high-quality porcelain ceramic tile for residential and commercial use, introduced three new lines of glazed porcelain ceramic tile at an exclusive distributor event it hosted August 4 in Chicago. StonePeak Ceramics showcased its Café, CastleRock, and Slate glazed tile lines to the more than 80 people representing about 30 StonePeak distributor partners in attendance. The texture and colors of the glazed product lines complement the four lines of unglazed porcelain ceramic tiles that were unveiled at Coverings in May. "Each StonePeak Ceramic series integrates Italian style with American sensibility," said Barrie Dekker, vice president of Strategic Sales for StonePeak Ceramics. "We use innovative production technology that gives us significant advantages in the stone-look market." StonePeak's Café series of glazed tile includes a variety of rich wood-like colors that convey a warm neutral tone. Each color is designed with minimal movement and variation, allowing for a more consistent coloration and unified appearance. The Café series is available in four colors, including Cream, Black Coffee, Green Tea and Cocoa, and two modulating sizes, 12"x12" and 18"x18". Café tiles are sold with Stairtread and Bull Nose complementary trims. Decorative accents are also included. The tiles are suitable for residential and light commercial uses. The Slate series emulates natural slate in color and feel. A subtle glazed surface - which is easy to clean - provides each tile with its own unique design by minimizing the appearance of a repeating pattern. Slate tiles are available in five colors, including Sand, Earth, Everglades, Lava and Clay, and four modulating sizes, from 6"x6" to 18"x18". A range of complementary trims, accents and borders are also available, including Stairtread, Bull Nose, Cove Base, Out Corner and In Corner. Slate tiles are best suited for residential and light commercial uses. The company's CastleRock series was designed with natural Travertine - a fairly dense stone with distinctive, colored veins - as the inspiration. CastleRock is a glazed version of old world stone - subtle yet sophisticated. By perfecting the surface to reflect the natural finish of a well-worn stone, CastleRock is impervious to staining and consistent in size with straight edges and uniform coloration. The CastleRock series is available in three neutral colors reflecting those found in natural travertine, including Armor, White Cliff, and Cobblestone. The tiles are available in five modulating sizes, from 6"x6" to 18"x18", and come with a complimentary trim package, including counter rail and quarter round. CastleRock tiles are ideal for all residential applications, including counters and backsplashes, as well as light commercial uses. "We are truly excited about working with StonePeak Ceramics and distributing their outstanding products," said Phyllis Schoenherr, vice president of Beaver Tile and Stone in Rochester Hills, Michigan. "As a domestic company and manufacturer, StonePeak Ceramics has its finger on the pulse of the desired trends in the U.S. and is well-equipped to design tile that the customer wants and needs." With the beautiful Chicago skyline as the backdrop, distributors were able to dine and network while sharing significant input with StonePeak executives on the company's ongoing development. Particular highlights of the exclusive event included critical updates regarding the company's marketing programs and materials, logistics programs, ongoing product research and development, and customer service enhancements. "The support of our distributor network is essential to the success of our business," said Roberto Franceschin, vice president of sales - distribution for StonePeak Ceramics.
