StarNet Sponsors IIDA Reception

Ridgefield, CT, July 26--StarNet Commercial Flooring Cooperative sponsored the International Interior Design Association’s (IIDA) Chapter Leadership Council (CLC) summer networking reception, held in June 2004, for the fourth consecutive year. IIDA’s CLC, including the IIDA Board, staff and chapter presidents from across the U.S. and Mexico, represents the audience StarNet wants to cultivate and inform about the quality of its membership, and the services only its contractors can offer. StarNet Board members who attended were: Bob Sabosik, M.E. Sabosik, Inc., in Pt. Pleasant, NJ; Harold Chapman, Bonitz Flooring Group, Inc., Greenville, SC; Randy Weis, RD Weis Companies, Port Chester, NY; Jim Creamer, Potomac Floor Covering, Inc., Dulles, VA; Brooks Mancini, B.T. Mancini Co., Inc., Reno, NV; and, Randy Rubenstein, Rubenstein’s Contract Carpet, Seattle, WA Lori Dowling, StarNet’s president and CEO, who was also in attendance, said, “We’re committed to helping specifiers understand the role StarNet can play in their projects. StarNet contractors are truly unique in their combination of capabilities, with expertise on technical and practical fronts. As a result, our alliance with IIDA and its CLC is critical to the mutual success of both our organizations.” The CLC assembles Association leadership from IIDA Chapters around the world twice a year for leadership training and discussion of issues concerning IIDA and its Members. To date, StarNet is one of the largest supporters of IIDA and its publication, Perspectives. “StarNet’s emphasis on collaboration and education aligns well with IIDA’s values,” said Cheryl S. Durst, Hon. IIDA, EVP/CEO of the International Interior Design Association. “IIDA is pleased to partner with StarNet on this initiative.”
