Shaw's Global Reason Wins HD Expo Honor

Dalton, GA, May 19, 2011--Shaw Hospitality Group's Global Reason was named top Flooring--Carpeting & Carpet Systems, Rugs in the 15th IIDA/HD Product Design Competition.

Global Reason was inspired by the art of block printing. It coordinates with the Style Tribe Eco Evolution collection for public spaces.

Global Reason is cradle to cradle certified. It is completely recyclable and contains 25% post-consumer recycled content.

"In addition to block printing, the design team was inspired by cultural cross pollination, ethnic influenced hues and vintage batik patterns that evolved into contemporary motifs," said design manager Pamela Rainey. "The result is a sustainable carpet collection where updated geometrics, mixed motifs and graphic compositions create a culturally eclectic feel."
