Roppe, Starnet Begin Recycling Partnership

Fostoria, OH, April 27, 2010--Roppe Corporation has a new strategic partnership with Starnet Worldwide, the Commercial Flooring Partnership, utilizing Roppe’s rubber recycling program called Impact.

“What makes this program unique is that we are offering a .01¢ per pound incentive for every pound recycled by the Starnet members to be accrued over a 1 year period,” says Jeremy Whipple, marketing manager for Roppe Holding Company.

Whipple said that at Starnet's annual meeting next year, Roppe will announce the grand total of recycled products generated from Starnet partners and present them with a contribution check payable to The Wounded Warrior Project.

"Our desire is that Roppe’s rubber recycling process will eventually become a standard practice among contractors, much like those practiced in the carpet industry," Whipple said.

The most popular byproducts from the recycling process right now are municipal landscaping mulches, playground surfacing and rubber crumb for athletic fields and other applications.
