Mohawk & Engineered Floors Announce Commercial Price Increases

Chattanooga, TN, July 16, 2021-Mohawk and Engineered Floors have announced price increases on select commercial products. 

Mohawk will raise prices 4% to 8% on all commercial soft and hard surface categories, including carpet tile, tufted broadloom, woven broadloom, LVT and sheet. 

In addition, it will increase freight rates on broadloom and carpet tile a minimum of $0.05 per square yard, and hard surface freight drop charges will increase by a minimum of $10.00. These increases will be effective for all orders placed on or after August 16. 

Engineered Floors will increase prices on all J+J Flooring and EF Contract LVT products. The amount of increase will vary by product. The increases will go into effect for orders placed on or after August 15 and shipments beginning September 15. The company will honor price quotes on LVT products for a period not to exceed 30 days. 

Engineered Floors’ June 30 increase applied to base-grade residential nylon and PET carpet and EF hard surface products, while Mohawk’s was on commodity product for soft surface, hard surface and cushion.

Both companies cited increases in raw material cost and freight as factors necessitating the increase.
