Mirage Wins 2006 Home Magazine Award
Saint-Georges, Quebec, January 20, 2006-- Prefinished hardwood flooring producer Mirage, announced that its Merlot, Java and Sambuca stains have been selected as winners of Home Magazine's 2006 American Building Product Award.
Mirage accepted the award at a ceremony on January 11 during the International Builder's Show. The International Builder's Show, the world's largest annual light construction show, was held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.
"We attribute our success to paying close attention to what the market demands, and delivering modern designs that appeal to homeowners, architects, builders and designers," said Luc Robitaille, vice president of marketing for Boa-Franc, the parent company for Mirage prefinished hardwood floors. "Winning an American Building Product Award is an honor for Mirage, and we thank Home Magazine for recognizing our efforts to deliver innovative designs in hardwood flooring."
Mirage unveiled the new stains in January 2005 to address the increasing popularity of dark-colored stains among architects, designers and consumers. Available in the 2-9/16-inch width, the dark purple Merlot and black Sambuca stains are available on Maple, while Java, a rich coffee-colored stain, is available on Yellow Birch. Photos of the stain colors are available on Mirage's online design tool - The Mirage Dreamer - at www.miragefloors.com.
"Our editors have selected the past year's best new products for the 2006 American Building Product Awards based on innovation, durability and practicality. We congratulate the award winners and their commitment to providing top-quality products that exceed the demands of today's consumers," said Carolyn Weber, senior building editor, Home Magazine.
