Mannington Receives Business Partner of the Year A

Mannington, Township, NJ, October 14--The Salem County Vocational-Technical School District has announced it will present its annual Business Partner of the Year Award to Mannington Mills Inc. of Mannington Township for their commitment to vocational-technical students. The award will be made at a statewide luncheon hosted by the New Jersey Council of County Vocational-Technical Schools in Atlantic City on Oct. 20. The ceremony, to be held at the Sheraton Atlantic City Convention Center Hotel, honors one business partner from each county in New Jersey for their outstanding support of career and technical education in New Jersey. For the past 30 years, numerous partnerships have been fostered between Mannington Mills and the vo-tech district. These partnerships have included representation on the district's program advisory committees, the Vo-tech Community Advisory Board, the Vo-tech Educational Foundation and on the Board of Education. Mannington Mills has also participated in the district's cooperative education, YTTW grant and mentoring programs for academy and career and technical education students. Numerous vo-tech graduates are employed at Mannington Mills and the district has provided customized training for Mannington employees through the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development grant initiatives.
