InterfaceFlor Forms New Hospitality Division

LaGrange, GA, May 12, 2011 -- InterfaceFlor said it is headed to HD Expo 2011 with a newly organized division dedicated exclusively to the hospitality industry.

Interface Hospitality is being led by vice president Charley Knight, a 17-year veteran of the floor covering industry who, for the past six years, was vice president of sales at Shaw Hospitality Group.

"InterfaceFlor has always been a company of great vision, and we recognize that the hospitality industry is gradually re-emerging and reviving from the huge hit it took during the economic recession of the past three years," said company president John Wells.

"In our estimation, the timing is right to steady our focus on the potential of this category."

According to Knight, the new division is introducing several dozen completely new modular carpet tile patterns expressly for hospitality to the Las Vegas show.

"We're launching DYF—design your floor— a program that will provide inspiration plus the appropriate tools for specifiers to create a customized design through color and through the composition of the tiles," said Knight.

In addition, Brian Wilson has been hired as director of design. He will collaborate with David Oakey, of David Oakey Designs, the exclusive designer for InterfaceFlor.
