Florim USA Announces Key Personnel Changes

Clarksville, TN, December 21--Florim USA appointed a new plant manager and created a new position within the company, vice president of distribution sales. These changes come in light of ongoing corporate strategies to hone sales and manufacturing capabilities. Giancarlo Adani is Florim USA’s new plant manager. Adani was formerly the plant manager of the Florim Group’s Italian company, Rex. He comes to the company with many years of accomplished experience in the tile industry, with great successes in terms of product quality and advanced design production. Clyde Black, previously vice president of Florim USA’s American Florim and Gold Seal brands, has been named to the newly created position of V.P of distribution sales. In this new role, Black will oversee sales activities for the Esquire, American Florim, Gold Seal and Finale brands. Black has been with the company for six years. "Florim USA is concluding a great year," says Mirco Migliari, president of Florim USA. "In order to achieve our vision of leadership, we are continually improving. These two changes will help us focus our efforts in sales and manufacturing as we go forward." Migliari states that Adani’s background and experience are ideal for the current needs of the manufacturing facility. Florim USA’s plant has undergone extensive improvements since the company launched in 2000. With ever-advancing capacity and capabilities, Adani is uniquely equipped to lead the facility to a new era of quality production. "Mr. Adani has led one of the world’s best, most respected brands—Rex—to great success," Migliari explains. "Now he is bringing these skills to our U.S. plant, and we anticipate great results." According to Mike Rohnert, executive vice president of sales, the company also anticipates positive results from the announced restructuring of the sales division. "As our V.P. of Distribution Sales, Clyde Black will lead our sales efforts to offer consistent, strategic support for our various brands in the marketplace," says Rohnert. "By tightening our structure, we can better, more efficiently serve our distributors…pooling our resources, our know-how and our ideas to form a more stream-lined foundation." Florim USA’s strategic vision for 2005 and beyond is to maximize the quality and capabilities of its plant and to deepen relationships with customers. In order to achieve this vision, the company will continually introduce new products, implement updated processes in sales and manufacturing and improve plant technology. The investments in Florim USA clearly denote the long-term commitment to success for this U.S.-based manufacturer. As a subsidiary of the Italian-based Florim Group, Florim USA is aligned with one of the world’s leading tile companies. Florim USA employs approximately 350 people.
