FloorTek Show Presents Awards Tuesday

Dalton, GA, Sept. 25, 2009--One person and three companies were honored for their contributions to the flooring industry during the FloorTek trade show awards dinner Tuesday night.

The Dalton, Ga.-based American Floorcovering Alliance hosted FloorTek at the Northwest Georgia Trade and Convention Center Tuesday through Thursday.

Awards were presented in four categories: Individual Leadership, Environmental, Product/Method Innovation and Contribution to the Industry.

Jim Shaheen, president of Shaheen Carpets, was presented the award for Individual Leadership.

Rick Ramirez, vice president of sustainability for Shaw Industries, accepted the award for the company’s environmental contributions.

Tuftco Technologies Inc. was honored for Product/Method Innovation with company president Steve Frost accepting the award.

Beaulieu of America’s Dale Land, the company’s chief financial officer, accepted the award for Contribution to the Industry.
