Domotex Middle East 50% Booked Within a Month
Dubai, United Arab Emirates, December 12, 2005--The organizers of Domotex Middle East, the regional trade show for carpets and floor coverings, have announced that 50 per cent of the exhibition, planned for May next year, has been booked in less than a month of its launch, according to AME Info FZ.
“The response has really taken us by surprise,' said Angela Schaschen, Managing Director, Messe Middle East, the regional representative of Domotex Middle East. 'While we expected a considerable take-up given the amount of construction projects under way in the Gulf, we never expected so many early-day commitments and from so many countries.”
Domotex Middle East will be held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (Dubai World Trade Centre) on May 28-30 next year. It is the third in Deutsche Messe AG Hannover's highly successful Domotex series which has made huge inroads in Europe and China.
'Bookings have come from throughout the Middle East-- most notably Iran, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and the UAE--but also from as far afield as Australia, Germany, Italy, Morocco, the Netherlands, Turkey and the USA,' explained Schaschen.
'The response appears to have resulted from the sheer power of the DOMOTEX brand and reputation, the knowledge that the show is backed up by tried-and-tested German organization and the fact that it is a highly specialized event which can deliver specific business results.'
Saudi Arabia's Sorayai Carpet Factory, based in Jeddah, has committed to a 400-square-meter stand.
To date, the exhibitor line up includes machine woven and tufted carpets, laminate, PVC and wooden floorings, adhesive and sealants, traditional handmade carpets, underlays and backings, sports floors and carpet tiles.
'The show will be clearly divided into six segments covering individual aspects and functions of the flooring industry to make it easy for visitors to reach the exhibitors that can most fulfill their business needs, ' explained Schaschen.
Domotex Middle East is being held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President, Department of Civil Aviation, Government of Dubai and Chairman of the Emirates Group.
Deutsche Messe AG expects Domotex Middle East 2006 to attract around 300 exhibitors with visitors coming from the wholesale and retail carpet and floor covering trades, decision-makers from the contracting sector, project planners, architects, interior designers and interior decorators, as well as property developers and their buyers, project managers and skilled trades including carpet fitters.
Domotex Hannover will be held between 14-17 January 2006.
