Wauwatosa, WI, December 1-- Bostik Findley, Inc., a leading global manufacturer of adhesives, sealants and lubricants, has changed its name to Bostik, Inc.
The new name reflects the strength of one of the world's most respected brands in the industry. Effective October 1, 2004, the global entities that made up Bostik Findley worldwide were renamed Bostik, and a new logo design was introduced for its corporate identity.
The association of the two names, Bostik and Findley, resulted from a merger between Bostik, Inc. and Ato Findley Inc. in January 2001. Nearly four years later, the well-established, integrated organization has grown to be among the world's largest adhesives and sealant manufacturers with production facilities and sales operations in 36 nations across five continents. Bostik's projected year 2004 revenues are in excess of $1 billion.
The renaming of the company to Bostik is the culmination of efforts by parent corporation TOTAL S.A. to globally align strategic operating units by business focus. The decision to choose Bostik as the company's designation was based on its simplicity and recognition in the global marketplace as a leading brand name.
The company is composed of three worldwide business groups covering the Americas, Europe and Australia /Asia. Bostik, Inc. is the Americas business group, and operates three product divisions -- Construction & Distribution, High Performance Polymers, and Industrial/Nonwovens.
The Americas corporate headquarters will continue to be located in Wauwatosa, Wis.
