Azrock Receives Gold ADEX Award

Houston, TX, May 24, 2007--Azrock by Tarkett recently received a 2007 Gold ADEX award for ColorWorks and a Silver ADEX award for its new homogeneous commercial tile, SolidAir. An award program that honors the highest quality in product design of furniture, fixtures and finishes, ADEX, Awards for Design Excellence, has been recognizing superior product design since 1994.

“Already proven to be an instrumental tool to architects and designers, ColorWorks showcase the versatility and dynamic color range available in the Azrock product line,” said Diane Martel, vice president marketing of Tarkett Commercial in North America. “We are pleased to receive the 2007 Gold ADEX award that distinguishes ColorWorks’ design capabilities.”

With coordinated color schemes, ColorWorks was developed to provide designers and architects even more flexibility in creating flooring designs. ColorWorks ensures that all Azrock by Tarkett flooring offer complementary colors and patterns so that products can be mixed and matched for optimal design options.

ColorWorks is comprised of four environments including natural, urban, contemporary, and cosmopolitan.  While each palette evokes a different emotion and response, together they maintain a connection through complementary color combinations.
“At the same time, we are excited to receive the 2007 Silver ADEX award for SolidAir. A truly resilient product, SolidAir provides the look of a solid tile without the standard maintenance and wear concerns of a solid color floor,” said Diane Martel, vice president of marketing for Tarkett Commercial. “In fact, the product’s 400 PSI and homogeneous construction make SolidAir a perfect option for high traffic areas.”

SolidAir is extremely durable flooring that adjusts to sub-floor irregularities. SolidAir is protected with Tarkett’s exclusive Tritonite® wearlayer, which requires less maintenance and makes it more resistant to abrasions than a traditional surface. Additionally, the 16” X 16” tiles ensure quicker and easier installation.
