Americhem To Raise Prices July 1

Cuyahoga Falls, OH, June 3, 2008 – Americhem, Inc., a global provider of custom color and additive solutions for polymer-based products, will raise prices for its entire product line in North America effective July 1.

David Bouton, Americhem’s commercial vice president, cited major material cost increases and continued escalation of transportation, health care and energy costs as the reason for the increase.

“Americhem will continue to aggressively focus on controlling costs through productivity enhancements, a philosophy of continuous improvement and other cost containment efforts,” Bouton said.

“However, the unprecedented nature of these increases has necessitated this immediate action. The cost pressures on energy, transportation and raw materials, particularly in the petrochemical industry, are at historical proportions.”
