American Home Surfaces Group & Commercial USA Raise $16K for FCIF

San Antonio, TX, October 7, 2026—The American Home Surfaces Group (AHSG) & Commercial USA member summit in San Antonio raised $16,700 for the Floor Covering Industry Foundation (FCIF).

Scott Humphrey, who serves as vice chair of the FCIF board of directors, shared FCIF’s mission and the growing demand for assistance among flooring industry families. Attendees responded immediately with individual gifts, which were generously matched by a corporate gift from Bob Himmelreich of Pro-Tech Floors. AHSG then matched the combined contributions, multiplying the impact of the generosity shown in the room.

The support comes at a critical time for FCIF. The foundation has already awarded 100% of its 2026 grant budget to qualified flooring families, while demand for assistance continues. Contributions from industry partners like AHSG and Pro-Tech Floors help FCIF continue providing financial assistance for medical care and essential living expenses to families navigating life-changing medical crises.

Since 1981, the Floor Covering Industry Foundation has provided direct financial assistance to flooring professionals battling catastrophic injuries, severe disabilities or life-threatening illnesses.
