Charlotte, NC, July 13, 2026—Ceramic imports declined in May, while LVT imports jumped, reports Truist.
Ceramic “imports declined 13% in units and 7% in dollars as declines decelerated versus April’s reading. India and Spain continued their streak of declines, while Italy and Mexico showed growth. YTD all four countries are still in declines for units and dollars with total imports from all countries down 19% in units and dollars.
LVT Imports “for the month were up 73% in units but down 5% in dollars as activity has started to lap choppy Liberation Day comparables. All of the growth came from Vietnam, and non-focus country unit growth as China and Korea experienced YOY unit and dollar declines. YTD units are down 6% and dollars are down 23%.”
