Austell, GA, July 9, 2026—Distributor R.A. Siegel has closed its doors.
The company distributed residential and commercial flooring products across the southeast. Opened in 1950, the company was founded by R.A. (Robert A.) Siegel and currently led by Geoff Work, who had been with the company for more than 16 years.
Says Work, “After serving the southeast U.S. for 76 years, the Siegel family made the decision to wind down the business. We thank all of our former supplier and retail partners for their support, and we wish them continued success in the future.”
R.A. Siegel long partnered with Armstrong, then transitioned to Mannington. Five years ago, Mannington ended the partnership.
R.A. Siegel is one of the quiet success stories in the flooring distribution business. Unlike many distributors that have been acquired by larger groups, it has remained privately owned and family-oriented while building a strong position in the Southeast.
Over the next several decades the company expanded by adding warehouse and delivery capabilities; broadening its product mix from traditional resilient flooring into hardwood, laminate, luxury vinyl, ceramic, installation products and accessories and expanding its geographic footprint beyond Georgia into Florida and Alabama.
By the early 2010s, the company was serving approximately 3,000 retail customers across Georgia, Florida and Alabama.
The company operated distribution centers in Ocoee, Florida and Austell, Georgia.
