Louisville, KY, June 12, 2026—Louisville Tile Distributors prepares to roll out a hands-on design education experience across major city markets following a successful inaugural event in April.
In its mission to serve the architectural community, Louisville Tile has announced the success of its “Down & Dirty” pilot program. Hosted in collaboration with Louisville Tile’s premier manufacturing partners, the Down & Dirty sessions begin in a roundtable setting, where technical experts from Louisville Tile and its partners lead discussions on the critical “how” of the industry. From innovations in massive porcelain panels to navigating complex substrate requirements, designers tackle their most pressing project challenges in a deep-dive Q&A.
Once that groundwork is laid, participants move from the conference table to the warehouse floor to get down and dirty. Trading sketches for trowels, attendees work in pairs at hands-on stations. They mix thin-set, trowel mortar on walls and floors, and build out the technical layers of a project—from waterproofing and uncoupling membranes to grout joint spacing.Building on the inaugural event’s momentum, upcoming sessions will take place in Cincinnati on July 29 and expand to Nashville on October 8.
