June Consumer Sentiment Hits Highest Level Since January, U of M

Ann Arbor, MI, June 29, 2015—The University of Michigan Index of Consumer Sentiment rose to 96.1 in June, a 6% rise over May’s 90.7.

Year over year, the indicator is up 16.5%.

According to Surveys of Consumers chief economist, Richard Curtin, “Consumers voiced in the first half of 2015 the largest and most sustained increase in economic optimism since 2004.”
