Builder Sentiment Falls, but Conditions Still Viewed as Favorable

Washington, DC, May 18, 2015—U.S. homebuilder sentiment fell to 54 in May from April’s 56 reading, according to the NAHB/Wells Fargo Housing Market Index.

A reading of over 50 indicates that more builders view market conditions as favorable than poor.

The index has not been below 50 since June 2014.
