Non-Aircraft Factory Orders Rise in January

Washington, DC, March 6, 2013 — Orders for factory made products fell 2.0% in January, largely due to fewer orders for aircraft, according to the Commerce Department.

Excluding transportation, orders rose 1.3%. Orders for durable goods fell 4.9%, while orders for nondurable goods such as food and clothing rose 0.6%.
