Washington, DC, March 3, 2011 — The average rate for a 30-year fixed mortgage dropped this week, Freddie Mac said.
The mortgage agency said that the average rate fell to 4.87% from 4.95%. It hit a 40-year low of 4.17% in November.
The average rate on the 15-year fixed home loan fell to 4.15% from 4.22%.
