Michigan Hardwood Flooring Building Burns

Lansing, MI, Dec. 28, 2010 — Fire destroyed a warehouse at a wood flooring manufacturer near Mason, Michigan.

The fire apparently started in a building that held a bunch of sanding machines for flooring firm Launstein, according to television news reports.

The company describes itself as “North America’s leading manufacturer and distributor of 3/8″ solid hardwood flooring.”

Launstein has been in business for more than 50 years.

Fire investigators said they believe the fire started in a dust collector attached to the building.
