Tarkett Buys Armstrong European Vinyl Brand

Lancaster, PA, Oct. 29, 2010 — Armstrong World Industries has sold the Rhinofloor brand of cushion vinyl residential flooring products, manufactured at its facility in Teesside, UK, to the Tarkett Group, according to reports.

In August, Armstrong announced its decision to exit the residential flooring market in Europe and its intention to close its Teesside manufacturing plant.

The transaction includes the sale of the Rhinofloor brand, designs, related equipment, inventory and merchandising accessories.
