H.B. Fuller Sees Earnings Decline on Lower Sales

St. Paul, MN, April 1, 2008– H.B. Fuller Co reported lower first quarter earnings as sales declined.

The company posted earnings of $18.2 million, or $.32 a share, compared with a year-ago profit of $20.8 million, or $.34 a share. Sales fell 3 percent to $322.6 million from $333.4 million.

The company is being hurt by higher costs for raw materials.

H.B. Fuller, which makes adhesives, sealants, paints and other chemical products, expects full-year profit of $1.76 to $1.86 a share.
