Two Home Depot Directors Won’t Seek Reelection

Atlanta, GA, March 20, 2007–Home Depot Inc. said two board members would not stand for reelection at this year’s annual meeting.

In a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the Atlanta-based home improvement retailer said Thomas Ridge, former secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and Angelo Mozilo, chief executive of mortgage lender Countrywide Financial Corp. (CFC.N: Quote, Profile , Research), informed the chain that they would serve the remainder of their terms until this year’s annual meeting, set for May 24.

Neither “cited any disagreement on any matter relating” to company operations, policies or practices, Home Depot said.

Ridge and Mozilo were named to Home Depot’s board when Robert Nardelli was chairman and CEO. Nardelli resigned in January amid criticism of his pay package.
