W.F. Taylor Co., Inc. – an industry pacesetter in the development of floor covering adhesives and floor preparation products – was founded in 1977 by Wallace F. Taylor, a well-respected chemist. In 1984 Taylor was sold to a British company who retained ownership until 1989 when the present management purchased the company. Continuing the Tradition – Patented Meta-Tec® In early 2000, Taylor launched our patented Meta-Tec® technology and manufacturing process. Meta-Tec® technology, as the name implies, signifies a dramatic shift in the development of high performance adhesives that consists of the use of renewable bio-based oils and resins along with a unique cross-linking system that achieves high shear strength and a waterproof cured bond. Taylor is a leader in addressing problems resulting from microorganism attacks that cause mold and mildew growth.
