Services Sectors Grows More Than Expected

Washington, DC, June 4, 2014 -- Growth picked up last month for the U.S. service sector, according to the Institute for Supply Management.

ISM said its non-manufacturing index rose to 56.3% in May from 55.2% in April. That was the highest reading since last August.

Economists expected a May reading of 55.5%. Readings over 50% indicate expansion.
