Mortgage Application Volume Rebounds
Washington, DC, Jan. 8, 2014 -- Mortgage application volume last week edged higher, rebounding from a 13-year low set at the end of 2013, according to the Mortgage Bankers Association.
MBA said its seasonally adjusted index of mortgage application activity rose 2.6% in the week ended Jan. 3.
The rate on fixed 30-year mortgages averaged 4.72% last week, unchanged from the prior week.
The MBA's seasonally adjusted index of refinancing applications rose 4.6%.
The home purchase index fell 0.5%.
